Perform ,under supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist, a variety of routine and advanced technical duties related to preparing and dispensing drugs in accordance with standard procedures and techniques.
Retrieve and interpret medication orders; perform pharmaceutical calculations.
Receive and triage information requests; research and provide information where appropriate; refer other inquiries to pharmacist. Inventory, order, receive and stock drugs and supplies.
A Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in his/her professional responsibilities in providing pharmacy services. Working under the direction of a licence Pharmacist, in various activties of drug distribution, preparartion of IV admixture, including Chemotherapy, perform order entry funstions, mainatin ADC machines througout the hospital and Limerick, deliver to all patients units and maintain process medication changes.
Shift: Monday through Friday and every third weekend: 3:30 PM to Midnight
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Required upon hire or within the first 6
months of employment
