This on-site position is based at our Oklahoma City, OK location.
Physician Assistant – the role:
The Physician Assistant provides bone marrow aspiration services at the request of client Oncologists; aspirations are performed to diagnose various cancers. This professional has direct contact with patients and maintains oncology business through bone marrow services.
The Physician Assistant will practice medicine with supervision of an assigned Hematopathologist.
Formally educated to examine patients, diagnose injuries and illnesses, and provide treatment.
Primary function is performing bone marrow aspirations.
Obtain complete medical history data from patients.
Organizes and present historical and physical data, together with evaluations and recommendations, to physician in such way as to permit him/her to visualize medical problem and determine appropriate diagnostics.
Provide follow-up and health maintenance care to patients in accordance with protocols established by physician.
Instructs and counsels patients
Maintains complete and accurate records of contacts with patients whether in person or by telephone.
Provide procedure notes to complete medical record in accordance with regulation.
Provide billing information for completed procedures as necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned.
To qualify, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Must be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Physician Assistant License - temporary acceptable for new graduates until permanent license is issued upon receipt of passing Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination Scores (within one year of hire).
5+ years work experience with bone marrow aspiration experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
