Job description
Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a qualified Planner - Material Requirements Planning for our Wooster, OH location.
 
The Planner - Material Requirements Planning is responsible for:
  • Scheduling all orders submitted to the Tool Room in Tooling Business Unit Transmission Technologies in Schaeffler Group North America at the Wooster, Ohio facility. 
    Must have a strong background in state-of-the-art machining processes in order to plan the orders accurately.  It is also helpful to have tooling experience in order to evaluate the prints and suggest changes that would enhance manufacturability of the tool.  This person will work closely with the toolroom group leader and lead people to determine what should be outsourced and what should be kept in-house.  This person must create/maintain a strong supplier base to meet our needs in timing, cost, and quality.  This position requires a proactive personality and must interface with all levels of the organization, with the ability to solve problems, and meet deadlines.
     
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, have close visual acuity and  hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to maneuver objects, tools.   The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, bend, push, pull,  kneel, or  crouch.   The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
     
    This position is required to know and understand the current specifications of the Quality Policy and procedures, as well as the Safety and Environment Policy and procedures and contribute to the achievement of the company objectives.  In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by his supervisor that are essentially related to his duties.

Job requirements
Qualified candidates will have:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5  years of experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience working in SAP is required
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
