The Inventory Planner performs inventory and cycle counts and replenishes supply carts. The incumbent actively supports and complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Count items on carts to establish current inventory and enter information into Materials Management software system.
Run pick tickers and pull items from designated stocking area(s) to replenish cart inventory.
Replenish cart items according to predetermined stocking levels.
Rotate stock according to lot numbers and expiration date to ensure proper stock rotation and use prior to expiration, while minimizing lot number changes.
Report any inventory discrepancies, backorders, low supply levels, damaged goods, short dated materials (less than 30 days shelf life remaining), etc. to Warehouse Materials Analyst and/or Warehouse Manager for reconciliation.
Assist in managing phase in/phase out of items to minimize/eliminate waste.
Act as liaison between the end user and the Materials Analyst to maintain accurate and timely lines of communication.
Assist in cycle and full physical inventory as needed in the departments as wells as the warehouse and client supply areas.
Assist in preparation and distribution of reports as needed.
Comply with all applicable and current Materials and Services Management, Human Resources, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance, OSHA, CLIA, etc. policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
-Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds.
-Ability to operate materials handling equipment as needed (pallet jack, etc.)
-Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
-Minimum of one (1) year experience in warehouse/store room desired.
-Basic knowledge of inventory control system desired.
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, excel, etc.) helpful but not required.
-With valid driver's license and the ability to drive a motor vehicle (non-commercial truck, car, van, etc.) helpful but not required.
-Basic understanding of mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
-Good communication and problem solving skills.
-Demonstrate Good record keeping skills.
-Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
-Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
-Ability to operate a computer, printer and bar code scanner.
