Project Engineer, Manufacturing
Job Summary

  • The Project Engineer is responsible for providing sound project management related to capital and continuous improvement projects. This role is responsible for implementing assigned projects to meet the approved and established scope, budget and schedule.
  • The Project Engineer is expected to achieve defined forecast spend accuracy on capital projects through sound project management and leadership. This position, as needed, will support the preventive and predictive maintenance programs and documentation of facility corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance.

Accountabilities

  • Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for developing manufacturing processes, production floor layouts and associated tools. Reviews new designs for manufacturability. Designs process improvements to reduce product cost, process cycle time and improved product quality.
  • The Project Engineer is responsible for providing sound project management related to capital and continuous improvement projects. This role is responsible for implementing assigned projects to meet the approved and established scope, budget and schedule.
  • The Project Engineer is expected to achieve defined forecast spend accuracy on capital projects through sound project management and leadership. Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • A minimum of 2+ years related work experience
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Preferred Skills/Qualifications Knowledge of plant utility systems, structured preventive maintenance program, PLC programming, process controls, servos, and equipment design and project management. Working knowledge MS Office Applications and CAD.
  • Skills/Competencies: Able to interpret common scientific and technical information. Good written, oral, and presentation skills. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Other Skills: Ability to manage conflict, team concepts, training, and scheduling
