Provides professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatments. Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs. Observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.
The Medical Surgical Ortho/Neuro unit is a 30-bed unit that provides exceptional care for patients with elective surgeries, fractures from the ER, and neuro overflow. Our unit consists of a very strong team of seasoned nurses as well as new grads, seasoned CNAs as well as those new to the hospital environment. We take pride in our unit and we love what we do.

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
- One-year experience in nursing preferred.
- Current Texas State RN License
- CPR (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS within 90 days of hire/transfer date
