Job description

What Reception contributes to Cardinal Health

Reception is responsible for receiving, greeting and directing customers and other visitors.


Duties:

  • Operate and cisco phone system and direct calls accordingly based on established guidelines
  • Perform minimal security duties in partnership with the security staff
  • Provide guidance to employees, visitors, and contractors as needed within established guidelines
  • Applies skills to resolve complex problems independently
  • Resolve access control issues as they arise
  • Assist Dublin Security Management with the overall improvement and sustainability of the Dublin Security Program
  • Assist fellow team members with coverage and performance of duties
  • Work daily with Security Officers regarding coverage at the assigned locations
  • Work independently within established procedures; may receive general guidance on new assignments
  • May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
  • Serve as a “Floater” to cover open positions in times of scheduled and unscheduled time off and as needed to support the business and team
  • Assess processes and procedures and provide ideas for improvement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent required
  • 3+ years' related experience; receptionist experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Outlook
  • Experience with administrative type duties
  • Experience in high demand environments
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Executive level presence
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High level of inter-personal communication skills across many social levels and cultures
  • Experience in hospitality type services
  • Must have good time management and organization skills
