Barnes Group Inc. – Manner USA, Inc.  has an exciting career opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager for the Lawrenceville Division,  in the following regions: New England/Boston area, MidWest/Chicago area, Southeast/Atlanta area and West Coast area. The candidate will be responsible for increasing sales through penetrating and growing the existing customer base within an assigned territory, while establishing and securing new business with brand new customers by effectively value selling company’s products and services.  If you are a career-minded, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast paced environment, please submit your resume for further consideration.   

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Establish and develop close business relationships, at multiple levels, with current and new potential customers and their end customers
  • Call prospective customers to qualify business opportunities and customer needs and assess Manner potential
  • Uncover opportunities for new Hot Runners or refurbishing
  • Prepare and develop clear, precise customer presentations, explaining  Manner products and services
  • Assist customers by providing technical expertise and product information, while offering solutions and recommendations.
  • Providing a high level of customer sales-related service
  • Respond to requests for assistance with problems on hot runners and controllers
  • Work cross-functionally with global sales, engineering and manufacturing
  • Value sell advantages over competitors’ products and/or services
  • Attaining  RFQs while following up on quotes, and closing sales
  • Communicate with management, through written reports, on customer needs, KPIs, problems, interests and activities
  • High focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Attend trade shows and conventions, and travel to existing and prospective customers


  • 3-5 years of hands-on technical exposure to Injection Molding/Mold-making, preferably in a sales role
  • Technically strong in the areas of Hot Runner assembly, repair, troubleshooting, process optimization
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical sales with customized products
  • Must be able to determine feasibility based on drawings supplied by customer, and/or information obtained from sales or application engineering
  • Quick learner must come up to speed on Manner hot runners and controllers
  • Ability to educate customers and offer additional tooling solutions and alternatives
  • Fluent with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Software
  • Results oriented and extremely self-organized
  • Ability to organize and follow up on multiple projects
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal, time management and follow-up skills required
  • Team-oriented with ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel domestically and international

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical highly preferred)
