Coordinates quality of education delivered within the organization and to the community through collaboration with nursing staff, physicians and other health professionals to enhance continuum of care and promote health education for patients, families, employees, as well as consumers.
RN clinical educator for staff. Runs orientation for RN's and PCA's, provides in-services for nursing education. Core member of Education Council at the hospital and system levels. Involved in organizing and manageing multiple education sessions for staff.
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
BSN or equivalent combination of education, training and 3-5 years of current acute care hospital experience is required.
MSN or M.Ed. preferred.
Current demonstrated knowledge and skill with 3-5 years experience in areas of responsibility.
Experience in curriculum development and principles of teaching are necessary.
Licensed and currently registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Current AHA Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider.
May require ACLS, PALS, ENPC, CPI based on areas of responsibility.
