Responsibilities

A Registered Professional Nurse responsible for delivery of patient (direct and indirect) through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Directs and guides patient teaching, activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Registered Nurse for Phoenixville Hospital's Intensive Care Unit

Shift: 12 hour nights (24 hours per week)

A Registered Professional Nurse responsible for delivery of patient (direct and indirect) through the nursing process of assessment planning, implementation, and evaluation. Directs and guides patient teaching, activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

  • Patient Ratio: average 1-3
  • Shared Governance unit
  • Tuition Reimbursement up to $8,000 a year
  • Benefited position- eligible the first of the month after start date
  • Free Parking in a covered garage
  • On-site Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner most nights from 7pm - 7am
  • Virtual Intensive Care Unit Support from Tower Health System via Telemedicine all nights 7pm-7am

Easy access to Routes 422, 76 and 29 and the PA Turnpike; 15 minutes to King of Prussia, 15 minutes to Limerick and 45 minutes to Philadelphia

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.

Experience:

One year previous Critical Care experience preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:

Licensed and currently registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Valid American Heart Association for Healthcare Provider CPR certification required

Completion of the Dysrhythmia course within six (6) months of hire

Completion of the ACLS (American Heart Association for Healthcare Provider) course within one (1) year of hire and continuous renewal every two (2) years

Successful completion of the Critical Care course within one (1) year of hire
