 Account Manager  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Responsible for all sales activities (lead generation through to contracting) within assigned region.
  • Develop and implement agreed upon business/marketing plan, which will meet both personal and business goals for expanding customer base / market share in the assigned territory.
  • Work with sales and support teams with focus on achievement of customer satisfaction; revenue growth; profitability and long-term overall account goals in line with company goals and objectives.

•                       Directorof Sales & Marketing - EHS

  SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Develop, maintain and qualify a database of qualified leads using SGS’s CRM system.
  • Sell and make recommendations to prospects and clients on the various solutions that SGS offers against their business needs.
  • Quoting in compliance with Certification and Accreditation Body requirements and/or product sector requirements.
  • Maximize all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the gain of market share from competitors.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, appointments/meetings, presentations, closed sales and follow-up activities within assigned territory and /or product sector.
  • Target new National Accounts in Region
  • Gather and submit detailed business specification information for pricing proposals.
  • Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify and address prospects business problems, and the effects of the problems.
  • Participate in and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to clients.
  • Maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
  • Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans.
  • Include the appropriate International Sales Manager (ISM) and or Global Key Account Manager (GKAM) on any opportunities that meet the criteria for a Global Key Account (more than 3 countries outside of the Region).

•        At alltimes, execute and promote a safe behavior by exercising due regard for thehealth and safety of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS policies andprocedures

•        At all times,comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct

    PROFILE  
  • College degree preferred - areas of concentration in marketing or business.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior sales position
  • Fluent in English (i.e., written & oral), Bilingual in Spanish an asset but not required
  • Ability to travel as job requires (e.g., regional, national, short notice, planned, etc.)

•        Experience with solution selling approach (e.g.,product, service, needs based, etc.).

•        Ability to developand manage sales pipeline.

•        Ability toresponsibly and accurately provide sales forecasts and achieve sales quotas.

•        Lead new sales and revenue growth efforts withinassigned geographical region.

•        Work closely with Marketing tosupport regional initiatives.

•        Liaise with inside sales resourceson all initiatives for assigned region.

•        Great customer and interpersonalskills at all levels (i.e.,Rep/Mid/Sr/Exec tiers).

•        Excellent Organizationalskills.

•        ExcellentCommunication skills.

•        Ability to workindependently with minimal supervision.

•        Attention todetail.

•        Ability to actquickly and decisively when required.

Performance will be based on meeting and/or exceeding agreed upon KPI’s (determinedannually with the Sales Head). KPI’s may include but not limited to:
