Infoscitex, a DCS company, is seeking a Scientist to assist our team at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. In this role, you would be working in the area of non-invasive neuromodulation.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist in the management and execution of data collection on multiple studies for the Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation (NIBS) Team at AFRL.
Help broaden the NIBS portfolio by helping obtain grants for more research.
Maintain records according to IRB regulations.
Aid in purchasing and maintaining laboratory equipment.
Manage data reduction and storage of data for future analysis.
Assist in the data analysis of studies.
Aid in data collection by running research subjects through protocol procedures.
Some data collections require evening and overnight hours. A willingness to work evenings/overnight 2 times per week as needed is necessary.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
PhD in Experimental Psychology or a related discipline and at least 4 years of related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with varying degree and experience combinations may be considered for alternative classifications).
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: At least a current Secret clearance.
Experience running human subject’s research.
Experience with non-invasive neuromodulation techniques such transcranial electrical stimulation or transcutaneous vagal nerve stimulation.
Demonstrated ability to write and secure grant funding.
Journal publications and conference presentation record.
Experimental design and data analysis experience.
Ability to program using R, MATLAB, Python, etc.
Although not firm requirements, we suspect an ideal candidate would also bring:
Experience with collecting various forms of physiological data.
Experience with fMRI research to include running the machine and/or analysis of the data.
