Our Longmont, Colorado office is currently seeking a Security Officer.
Responsible for ensuring the safety of employees and security of property according to policies and procedures; monitor systems that ensure the preservation and integrity of intellectual properties and prevent the misuse of property, software, or other proprietary information
Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Security Function –
Perform a variety of tasks to ensure the safety of employees and property are maintained in accordance with established policies and procedures
Monitor the operations of the Door Card Access system, Alarm systems, and CCTV Systems utilizing security software (e.g., velocity, etc.)
Perform routine inspections of buildings and property for safety and security conditions, reporting any concerns in a timely manner
Monitor the on-site activities of contractors and vendors
Respond to law violations or security incidents as outlined in the policies and procedures *Follow procedures and maintain equipment to ensure the safety and security of employees during natural and man-made emergencies
Assist departments with a variety of employee relation incidents, as needed (e.g., employment terminations, architectural issues, etc)
Document incidents concerning loss or misuse of property or proprietary information in a accurate and timely manner
Educate employees in matters of safety, security, and intellectual property loss prevention (e.g., CPR, etc.) * Coordinate with Public Safety agencies that are responding to company properties *Provide appropriate notifications of any incident or condition that may affect the safety and security of employees, visitors, or property
Perform a variety of tasks to ensure visitors information is correct in the system (e.g., scanning licenses, deactivate and re-activate badges, escorting visitors, etc.) Team Interfaces/ Customer Service - Establish and maintain a professional relationship with internal/external customers, team members and department contacts
