Job Description

Risk Management is responsible for identifying property, casualty and executive risks, recommending risk transfer solutions and administering risk transfer programs. Risk Management mitigates retained risk via loss prevention and loss control programs.  


What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
  • May contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Works on complex projects of large scope
  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
  • Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects
  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives
  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

Accountabilities:

  • Ability to interact with senior levels of executive leadership
  • Facilitation and management of work teams for risk mitigation
  • Advance continuity planning by identifying and leveraging internal and external best practices
  • Lead table-top exercises for business unit continuity planning
  • Audit Business Continuity plans against corporate standards
  • Manage corporate system for retention of Business Continuity plans
  • Attention to detail, data & analysis
  • Coordination of loss prevention recommendations between business partners and vendors
  • Management and support of risk databases
  • Report generation for management review
  • Other duties as requested and defined by business needs

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Business or Science or related field
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills
  • Prior business consulting experience a plus
  • Business Continuity certifications (from DRI, BCI) a plus
  • Proficiency with MS SharePoint and MS Access preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
