The Sr. Cloud Security Specialist will enhance the cloud security program including any security assigned engineering, threat and vulnerability tasks, identity management, Information Security Management and application security programs.
-Reviews solution architecture and provides security recommendations to development teams
-Assists with threat modeling
-Investigate and recommend innovative technologies or methods to enhance the security of cloud-based environments.
-Provides support for the team on a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week basis if necessary.
-Accountable for the timeliness and quality of their tasks and assignments.
-This person should be able to perform a variety of tasks, such as: provide security guidance to development teams, conduct risk assessments, review architecture, research security tooling and provide resolution to day-to-day security issues.
-Position may be required to analyze data, trends, logs and reports and present data in an organized, professional manner.
-Provide guidance to and assists in training less experienced IT Security Specialists and help experienced security professionals pivot to cloud security concepts.
-Solid understanding of cloud security concepts
-Solid understanding of DevSecOps model and ‘shift-left’ security
-Solid understanding of Zero Trust principles
-Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
-Working knowledge of GRC concepts
-Experience providing support to audit activity
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Comfortable working independently
-Comfortable working in a team setting
-Familiarity with Azure and AWS a plus.
-Technical leadership capability in the security arena
-In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles, as a means of relating business needs to security controls.
-Familiar with management frameworks, such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 2700x and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). In-depth knowledge of risk assessment methods and technologies.
-Familiar with risk-based security management and their impact to the business impact,
-Familiar with vulnerability assessment methods including container scans, network scans, application penetration testing and remediation methods.
-Experience with developing, documenting and maintaining security policies, processes, procedures and standards.
-Working knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
-Establish technical and process related documentation and references.
-5+ years experience with the implementation and support of an IT security program
-3+ years experience with the implementation and support a cloud security program
-Ability to work under pressure of time constraints and to prioritize.
-Strong analytical skills to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls.
-Ability to interact with company personnel at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and to comprehend business imperatives.
-Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to guide team members and to work with minimal supervision.
-B.S. Degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience required.
-Specialized training in information security helpful.
-CISSP and any other security certification a plus.
-Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, other) a plus.
