Senior Commercial Finance Manager 

The Senior Commercial Finance Manager is responsible for driving top line growth of the West region, working with the Regional Finance Director and in partnership with the regional Vice President, Commercial and the Executive Sales Directors; responsible for analytics and implementation processes to identify and execute revenue growth opportunities; partners with Regional Executive Sales Directors and their respective teams. The position serves as the main point of contact with Revenue recognition and analytics in ensuring accurate revenue reporting. The position will play a critical role in preparing profitability analysis and monitoring follow-up actions. The position will support the health plan regional leadership in assessing new and renewal of health plan contracts and IPAs in the region.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides critical analysis, pricing and support for all strategic growth opportunities and RFP’s, including:

o    POL take-downs, TC/PC arrangements, Lab Management and Lab Consulting Services, Hospital System bids, FQHC’s, Purchase Testing/Service Arrangements, etc. 

o    Provides financial analysis and recommendations to support Account Management activities

o    Customer and contract profitability

o    IOP’s  ~ manages subsequent profitability analysis (look-back)

o    PSC’s ~ provides analysis to support both the renewal and new selection process Connectivity ~ supports the initial justification and subsequent look back analysis

o    Local point of contact for sales inquiries & ad-hoc analysis; payor mix & pricing, local billing systems, etc.

o    Provides insights, analysis and support to the Regional Market Strategy process

o    In decentralized sites, responsible for all aspects of pricing and related controls

o    Manages the process for Special Pricing requests, provides approvals and ensures compliance with all Corporate Pricing guidelines, policies and the Family Pricing Tool

o    Ensures all Pricing updates are completed accurately within the Billing system

o    Acts as a Business Partner to the Sales and Customer Operations team with respect to customer transition and onboarding

o    Ensures pricing loaded into the system agrees to the customer contract

o    Monitors test utilization in line with contract to ensure account profitability is in line with original estimates and avoid downstream errors and subsequent retro pricing adjustments

o    Prepares revenue and volume forecasts, based on acquired business insights

o    Interfaces with Corporate Planning and Analysis group

o    All other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

•         Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

•         MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred

•         Approx. 5 to 7 +  years of experience of professional accounting/finance experience

•         Direct supervisory experience preferred

•         Highly self-motivated to “make a difference”

•         Capable of deploying and articulating strategic solutions to prospective business opportunities

•         Demonstrates a strong knowledge of operational and financial processes and practical application of financial and strategic analysis

•         Microsoft Access skills strongly desired
