The Senior Director of SQA & Testing will provide the organization with the leadership required to develop, implement and maintain quality systems and standards for the Quest Diagnostics IT Software Development cycle. The Senior Director is also accountable for partnering with leadership in establishing strategic planning to support testing and quality assurance for our enterprise wide IT products and software development functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Will provide direction on the appropriate processes, leadership and strategy to ensure the quality of all systems development projects initiated or maintained by the information technology management/services area.
Develop and drive a QA and Test Engineering strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy
Lead efforts to enhance and make the testing process more efficient
Creating a strong operational method to measure and improving quality throughout release and deployment
Developing new and enhancing existing processes for test plans, cases, and scripts
Expand existing automation framework and introduce new initiatives to increase SQA test coverage
Oversee test planning, test documentation, reporting and design and implementation of validation procedures
Develop methodologies and lead in setting and maintaining the standards for Software Quality Assurance test
Collaborates and partners with third party vendors and strategic suppliers to implement and execute on the QA and Testing strategy, as well as day to day operations.
12+ years of leading a technical organization in a diagnostics industry
Must have the experience and ability to provide the organization with the leadership required to develop, implement and maintain quality systems and standards.
Demonstrated knowledge and direct experience with developing and establishing Quality systems and Test Engineering processes
The ideal candidate possesses process improvement orientation.

B.S/B.A. degree in clinical, scientific or technical discipline required. Advanced Degree or MBA preferred.
