Performing as a Senior Laboratory Engineer, apply best practices to modify H-1 Software Integration Laboratory hardware and design/coordinate new functionality solutions for 3 laboratory benches.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure laboratory functions duplicate aircraft functions by analyzing aircraft drawings.
Develop laboratory drawings, and determine laboratory hardware solutions.
Provide integration for complete avionics suite, sensors, and weapons systems.
Analyze proposed changes to design modifications to laboratory and recommend technical solutions via whitepapers.
Collaborate with geographically dispersed engineers/teams to determine H-1 weapons system operational needs.
Utilize technical autonomy to complete tasking within schedules.
Research laboratory equipment needs and recommend hardware purchases.
Perform as technical lead to technicians and engineers, and coordinate.
Perform as SME for laboratory power distribution, Avionics communication throughout all multiplex buses, and RF transmissions and sensing.
Determine laboratory modification schedules, and ensure completion of modifications within schedule.
Track tasking progress using Government databases.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A Master's degree in electrical or systems engineering with a minimum 10 years of laboratory design experience.
Demonstrated understanding of MIL-S-1553, MIL-S-1176, and ARINC-429 multiplex bus architectures and operation.
Experience with AltaDt bus interface cards, Ethernet cards, and VME cards.
Experience with SimC.
Experience with Avionics, Weapons Systems, and aircraft sensors and operation.
Demonstrated experience with ORCAD and MATLAB.
Self-motivation to work independently to overcome obstacles.

Experience with aircraft data reduction and analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
