PenFed is hiring a Senior Manager, Quantitative Modeling at our Tysons Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to lead the team to develop new volume origination, line of credit utilization, prepayment, and deposit models for capital planning, stress testing, and balance sheet management. This position will develop, implement, and maintain quantitative models through collaboration with stakeholders throughout the credit union.

- Lead the team to develop new volume origination, line of credit utilization, prepayment, and deposit models used in capital planning, stress testing, and balance sheet management for all products, including credit card, personal loan, student loan, auto loan, mortgage, commercial loan, and deposit products.
- Lead the quantitative analysis of macroeconomic impact on portfolio performance for an effective integrated forecasting/capital planning process.
- Lead the team to adopt innovative solutions, including machine learning and AI transformation in PenFed.
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure that models are consistent and aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor performance of quantitative models and support independent model validation efforts in accordance with the model risk management policy.
- Responsible to produce high-quality model documentation that satisfies model risk management, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or a related field is required.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in quantitative modeling.
Minimum of two (2) year of direct management experience is required.
Experience with SAS, R and Python and proficiency working with large datasets is required.
Candidate should have experience building quantitative risk models in at least one (1) of the following areas, real estate products, auto, credit card, or student loan.
Experience in CCAR, PPNR, and deposit product modeling is preferred.
This position will supervise employees.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call is required.
