First Data’s Operations and Call Center functions are focused on providing the outstanding client service, support and experiences that are critical to our ongoing success. Our Operations owner-associates are responsible for the stability of our global network infrastructure by helping our financial institution clients with various aspects of transaction processing, including statement management, card production and ticket-issue resolution. Our Call Center owner-associates are often the first point of contact for our business clients, and they play an important role in driving client satisfaction. They are responsible for answering questions and resolving problems on a wide range of issues, including account activation inquiries, potential fraudulent activity and our full range of products and services.
- Responsible for the emergency repair and on-going maintenance required to ensure the optimum performance of the user’s electronic and hardware systems. Conduct training on all assigned equipment. Respond to customer-initiated service calls as directed. Independently troubleshoot and repair equipment problems. Perform repair of sub-assemblies. Perform preventive maintenance and equipment installation. Identify defective or marginal components. Repair/replace components. Assist with equipment rebuilds. Perform assigned inventory control uties as directed; accurately log all parts issues, receipts and transfers; verify packing slips; conduct inventory counts; research alternate parts sources. Maintain all manuals, tools and test equipment. May design and implement software/firmware/hardware and electronic solutions to existing equipment. May also research, develop and deploy new technologies to increase customer capabilities.
Scope of Job
Must ensure cost savings initiatives are occurring to reduce the amount of liability in regards to parts costs. This is accomplished through outsourcing initiatives.
Respond to operator placed service calls and effect repairs. Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled. Conduct technical training classes for defined product groups. Define cost savings and equipment modification opportunities.
