  • Accurately prepare shipments of Company’s complete line of products and related equipment in accordance with Company’s policies, established procedures, customer requirements and general shipping requirements, identification, and storage/routing of incoming materials and supplies.
  • Review schedules and determine priorities under direction of group leader/supervisor.
  • Verify appropriate products are on hand and notify Production and/or Operations Manager of shortages.
  • Determine if special packaging is needed.
  • Monitor shipping and receiving activities using shipping reports to confirm proper completion and that shipping schedules are maintained.
  • Enter appropriate information into computer system and ensure proper records are prepared and maintained as to receipts and disbursements.
  • Bulk pack orders from production to match customer requirements.
  • Check assembled shipments for correct materials, packing, tagging, and handling instructions, etc.
  • Prepare information for bills of lading, shipping and any other required forms.
  • May contact carriers in accordance with established procedures and under direction.
  • Check all materials for quantity, type, dimension, identification numbers, certs, etc.
  • Perform all related material handling duties including operation of narrow aisle lift trucks, power and hand trucks as required.
  • Assist in stockroom inventories, etc.
  • Requires the ability to work from written, verbal or information system instructions together with Company’s products and materials.
  • Assist less experienced/proficient personnel in the interpretation of operating methods
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion and conform to all quality and safety procedures
  • Work from schedules, drawings, specifications, job orders or special instructions
  • Properly use all required safety equipment and devices and ensure support personnel are instructed how to operate equipment safely
  • Actively participates continuous improvement activities to reduce waste, improve processes and products and set best practice standards
  • Assist, instruct, and train less proficient personnel

Education and/or Experience:

  • Requires use of addition, subtraction, of decimals and fractions, English and metric, use scales, adjustable measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers and ability to accurately enter material receipts, product location returns, return material to inventory, print labels/emails, respond to inquiries using Outlook and excel spreadsheets.
  • Requires ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Requires ability to effectively operate powered narrow aisle lift trucks high lift trucks, wrapping and banding equipment.
  • Moderate physical demand with occasional heavy lifting or moving materials.
  • Accurately prepare products for shipment, pack orders, include required documentation in accordance with customer specifications
  • Safely operate equipment such as barrel movers, hoists, and overhead cranes.
