Infoscitex is seeking an experienced Simulation Scientist or Operations Research (OR) Analyst to support extensive high visibility autonomy-related software development efforts in a Modeling and Simulation application. As a member of our team, you will work in Dayton, OH, having opportunities to work in a dynamic environment, with state-of-the-art simulation technologies, simulation integration experts, and military Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). This work focuses on providing rich M&S suitable for DoD Decision Support Systems.
Construct complex military models and entities inside a simulation environment.
Define urban and rural simulated terrain features.
Use scripts to produce simulated pattern-of-life behaviors.
Produce and manage multiple software configurations to enable varied interaction mechanisms.
Interact with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), system developers, and customer stakeholders to interpret and define simulation and model requirements.
Coordinate with team members to produce and manage simulation data and results for input to multiple applications, including informing machine learning-based models.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least a BS degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline with at least 2 years of related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with advanced degrees or varied levels of experience may be considered for alternative classification.)
Ability to conceptualize complex problem statements to formulate solution spaces that are widely applicable.
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
Experience with engagement, mission, or campaign level simulation environments.
Ability to apply the scientific method to diverse MS&A efforts.
Ability to participate in limited short-term intermittent travel.
While not specific requirements, we feel an exemplary candidate would also bring:
MS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
Knowledge and experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) environments (constructive and virtual) and/or Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) concepts.
Prior work with Image Generation technologies, such as MetaVR VRSG, VBS IG, or SubrScene.
Advanced scripting or programming experience.
