This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering next generation combat vehicles for the U.S. Army. You will work alongside the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle System Center customer and be rewarded with a technically challenging and diverse career in the areas of powertrain electrification and mobility for the next generation of ground vehicles. 

Essential Job Functions:

Developing 3-phase motor control algorithms for large drives/inverters.

Developing embedded code.

Helping shape hardware design and software architecture for emerging and existing prototypes.

Performing in-depth system architecture and code reviews.

Documenting all aspects of code development and creating code flowcharts.

Working "hands-on-hardware" with integrated software and hardware development team in the lab and remotely accessing equipment.

Performing in-depth problem solving and code debugging and testing.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Ability to obtain security clearance.

BS in Computer Science, or BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Five years of experience in automotive, military, avionics, or commercial industries.

Experience with TI Code Composer Studio or Eclipse.

Experience with C2000 Series Digital Signal Processors.

Experience with C programming.

Experience with revision control systems.

Experience with CAN J1939 Interfacing and messaging.

Knowledge writing drivers for devices that interface with Serial UART, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) and CAN Bus.

Desired Skills:

3-phase motor drive, converter system, power converter algorithm implementation.

Experience developing 3-phase motor drive control using field oriented control, vector drive and or latest state of the art control algorithms.

500 kW or higher wattage experience, 600 VDC or higher.

Experience or familiar with Silicon Carbide transistors.

Experience with Graphical User Interface Development (python, web development, C, Microsoft visual studio).

Familiarity with interfacing to Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, and STMicroelectronics componentry.

High voltage safety training or knowledge.

Design for military ground vehicle or automotive experience.
