Infoscitex (IST), a DCS company, has an outstanding opportunity for a Software Engineer to develop and test C# and Java code. This is an opportunity to join a growing, cutting-edge team in creating next-generation autonomy technologies for the Department of Defense. As this Software Engineer, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop user interfaces (UI's) and support system architecture. Your work will support production of new human-autonomy interface capabilities for the US Air Force, and involves working with subject matter experts in Air Force operations and human factors areas to develop state-of-the-art UI's for decision aiding and vehicle control.
Essential Job Functions:
In this role, you could expect to:
Implement algorithms, to include planning, allocation, and monitoring capabilities.
Work as part of a Scrum team, providing short-term work to achieve long-term goals.
Employ best practices in the industry to ensure maximum code reusability, extensibility, and modularity.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline; and at least some related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with varying degree and experience combinations may be considered for alternative classifications).
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible for Secret level clearance.
Experience programming with C# and/or Java.
Ability to apply technical standards, principles, theories and techniques.
Creative problem-solving capabilities.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Ability to participate in limited short term intermittent travel.
