What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
•High school diploma or GED required some college preferred
•Proficient in Microsoft office will do data entry into excel and create simple spreadsheets
•Strong written & verbal communication skills
•Strong interpersonal people skills patient, calm, inclusive, mentor teacher
•Ability to work flexible hours due to business need
•Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
•Leadership lead or trainer experience preferred
•Prior coaching training for new hires and or onboarding new workers is a plus
•Great organizational skills
•Great multitasking / follow up skills

•Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks
•Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
•maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
•Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues
•May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments
•Adheres to all quality guidelines
•Works with limited supervision. Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor.
•May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
•Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate training needs. Has an office in the middle of the warehouse floor open concept/ standing desk in open work area.
•Responsible for site training for all Inbound and Outbound shifts
•Must take a MHE training class to administer equipment certifications to employees
•Prior MHE ( Material Handling Experience) experience a plus
•When not training, perform general warehouse duties
•Learn and train on all functions within the warehouse
•Be willing to train during the shift hours for new employees for at least 2 weeks
•A small amount of travel may also be required to other sites based on business and company need
