Job Description

Puritan’s Pride®, the Direct to Consumer (DTC) eCommerce arm of The Nature's Bounty Co., is currently searching for a Senior Marketing Director responsible for developing the brand strategy and marketing plans focused on growing revenue and profits through new customer acquisition, customer retention and re-activation across all marketing channels.  The Sr. Director stays abreast of developments in technology and changes in consumer behavior and shopping habits and makes recommendations to adapt to new customer segments and shopping behaviors.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Operate as a member of the senior management team; provide guidance and direction on strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and develops a team of direct reports and additional support staff.
  • Work closely with creative, merchandising, web ops, inventory management, and IT.
  • Responsible for the P&L for the marketing organization with accountability for budgeting and forecasting of sales by marketing channel, marketing expense budgeting, and planning the use of promotions and their impact on demand, margin and other metrics.  Manage a budget of over $24 million.
  • Oversee eCommerce marketing programs including, but not limited to Paid Search, Display Advertising, Affiliate Marketing, Social Media, Email and Direct Mail marketing to improve brand awareness and drive profitable customer acquisition as well as cost effective retention and reactivation.
  • Develop revenue forecasts to support business requests for IT development resources and third party software to improve online business.  
  • Responsible for the identification and implementation of business building incremental revenue sources (e.g. Loyalty Program, Subscription, etc).
Job requirements
  • 10+ years of experience leading Marketing with responsibility for investment decisions and managing to Marketing Contribution
  • 5+ years in a leadership role with a strong background in multi-channel marketing practice that includes Ecommerce and Digital marketing.  
  • Experience with Direct Mail Marketing a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related required.  MBA preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to contribute to the continued growth of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and coaching skills.  Ability to build strong relationships with external partners and vendors.
  • Strong customer service orientation; drives a culture of customer appreciation and service excellence within the department, throughout the Company, and externally.
  • Results oriented with excellent planning, prioritization, decision making, organizational and time management skills; works well under pressure and delivers on commitments with little direction.
  • Ability to hire, train and develop resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness; recognizes and effectively leverages associates skills and abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to set targets, design improvement plans and ascertain best approach methodologies.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated creativity in developing new marketing strategies.
  • Travel expected for the job at least 20%.
