What Product or Services Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health


Product and Solutions Marketing is responsible for defining product and solutions market strategy and life cycle management, including customer needs identification, market research, product/service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion and branding.


Our IV Access, Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, Nutritional Delivery and Sharps businesses deliver products and solutions to improve the lives of people every day. We are looking for a Sr. Portfolio Specialist to support the development and execution of critical projects and commercialization strategies to maximize global adoption and growth potential. We are looking for a team member who is motivated to learn, able to adapt to new ways of thinking and believes in customer and patient-centric marketing.

  • Apply basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts to support development, dissemination and management of marketing and training content for sales, customers and patients, including but not limited to print, digital, social, and event  
  • Work with cross-functional partners to update content on product pages within the corporate website and other Cardinal Health communications platforms
  • Support development of marketing project creative briefs and scopes of work and manage submissions through the creative and procurement review and approval process
  • Manage marketing and training content submissions through the brand, legal and regulatory review and approval process
  • Synthesize and communicate marketing campaign results to help influence future strategies
  • Support product data management activities, including but not limited to new product setup, product discontinuation, data enrichment, creation/maintenance of product master cross documentation and product remediation in accordance with internal standard operating procedures
  • Work with cross-functional partners to update product artwork in accordance with internal standard operating procedures
  • Apply basic knowledge of primary and secondary market research to support execution of research-based projects to drive portfolio/product decisions and identify market opportunities
  • Identify and remain current on global market trends and competitive positioning

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in related field, preferred
  • Medical device, healthcare marketing, and/or product management experience, preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Proficient computer skills and understanding of software platforms, databases, and project management systems (e.g., Workfront and Agile, preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team setting including across multiple internal teams and geographies
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Capable of multi-tasking and prioritization to deliver on business commitments in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines at one time
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
