Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Management Inventory Specialist is responsible for balancing budgetary compliance and an adequate supply of implant and other high dollar inventory to achieve high quality cost-effective standard of care in implant management. Collaborates with vendors, Contract Administrators, and Supply Chain leadership to leverage purchasing power and secure optimal contracts. Monitors inventory purchasing to ensure compliance with vendor contracts, monitor variances and optimize potential savings initiatives. Provides ongoing monitoring of expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings. Collaborates with the leadership, clinical support and medical staff in IR, CVL and OR. Achieves and maintains satisfactory working relationships with Supply Chain Management leadership, Purchasing and Inventory staff and other hospital departments, committees and administrators. Places a strong emphasis on patient care with the patient as the highest priority in all endeavors and undertakings of the individual and the department.



Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Experience maintaining budgetary and contractual compliance (Required)
Experience in inventory management (Required)
Epic experience (Preferred)
Lawson Portal and or Lawson Requisition Center experience (Preferred)

Required Skills:

Excellent Communications Skills, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft
Word, Multi Line Telephone Operational Skills, General computer skills including accurate and efficient entry
and navigation in multiple software systems, ability to manage printers, packagers and automated diapensing
machines, utilizing email, and navigating intranet and internet and other computer programs, coordination
skills are necessary
