Summary

As a Systems Engineer in the B330 Program you will have the opportunity to be part of an elite team of engineers working on cutting edge human-rated spacecraft development that will directly influence and redefine the future of space habitation. Responsibilities

 Research, design, develop, and test spacecraft systems for human spaceflight missions and operational capabilities

 Development of planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes

 Analyze complex aerospace product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine mission planning and operational needs

 Support the task of integrating the efforts of a multi-disciplinary team of subsystem engineers into an overall habitable spacecraft system

 Support overall development of a human habitable spacecraft system with focus on testability, reliability, availability, maintainability, and producibility

 Perform requirements development, proposal writing, documentation management

 

Job requirements

 Bachelor’s degree or higher in an appropriate engineering field

 10+ years of experience with aircraft or human-rated spacecraft design, development, integration, test and operations phases

 Experience with internal and external interfaces for human-rated spacecraft

 Excellent technical writing skills

 Good communication skills, written and verbal

 Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively in teams

 Ability to ingest large amounts of information quickly amidst shifting priorities

 Self-starter who is flexible, able to work under pressure in fast-paced environments, and meet tight deadlines consistently

 Experience with requirements management tools (i.e. Microsoft Project and DOORS)

 Experience in developing and writing technical proposals for new business contracts

 Experience with human spaceflight programs

 Knowledge and experience with NASA Systems Engineering Handbook practices

 Cross-functional team leadership and management experience

Desired Qualifications

 Master’s degree or higher in an appropriate engineering field

 Experience working on and/or managing projects for NASA contracts

 Experience overseeing requirements for large, complex systems

 Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
