Candidate will be a Technical Data Analyst supporting the IRST Team.
Essential Job Functions:
Candidates' tasking will be as a Technical Data Analyst supporting as Infrared Search and Track (IRST) System used on the F/A-18 aircraft.
Basic understanding of the F/A-18 E/F/G Super Hornet and Growler aircraft and accompanying instrumentation / how data is collected on the aircraft.
Provide analysis of post flight information in support of flight test engineers conducting testing.
Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 including fiber data structures.
Responsible to create analysis reports documenting findings and communicate results.
Ability to learn how to use multiple data analysis tools and software packages for data reduction and display.
Experience with coding in MatLab and visual basic to develop new analysis tools and/or modify existing MatLab and Excel tools.
Basic understanding test plans, and Detailed Methods of Test for all weapons systems undergoing initial integration or regression testing on the F/A-18 aircraft.
Support laboratory and flight testing of the IRST system.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
High school diploma/GED plus 13 years of experience, or Associates-level (AA/AS/Technical school) plus 7 years of experience, or a Bachelor degree in related field with 5 years of experience.
Excellent communication skills and able to liaison with outside agencies and ability to work independently.
Possess high moral character and integrity.
Ability to acquire and obtain Top Secret Clearance.
Bachelors degree with 5 plus years or experience with the Navy Aircraft Platforms and Weapons.
