Job description
Ultimate Staffing, a division of Roth Staffing Companies, in Nashua, NH has a great temp to hire opportunity for an experienced Production Technician to join our client in the Chelmsford, MA area.  This is a 1st shift position - Monday through Friday - 7 AM to 3:30 PM.  Pay rate $20 - $24/hr DOE.  Our client offers a convenient location, with a great work environment and benefits that include Medical, Dental, PTO and a matching 401k Plan for full time employees.

As the Lead Production Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting production associates with the customized assembly of complex fiber optics components and assemblies.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and delegate production activities on a day to day basis to meet delivery expectations
  • Communicate progress, concerns and scheduling issues with Engineering on a regular basis
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies using high end measurement equipment
  • Training of hourly assemblers
  • Monitor, repair and perform regular preventative maintenance on production equipment
  • Identify and record any product, process and quality system problems
  • Have an active role in Process Improvement - initiate, recommend, or provide solutions
 
Requirements:
  • AS degree in related field or certificate with 3 years of relevant experience highly preferred
  • Ability to define problems/ collect data/ and draw conclusions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a hands on approach to work with test and measurement equipment
  • Ability to work with technical drawings, sketches and prints
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Troubleshooting & analytical skills a must
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Machining capabilities
  • United States Citizen or Permanent Resident
