As a Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer in the Product Assurance and Test (PA&T) Group you will support T&E activities associated with a new and existing DoD platforms. This position will also provide T&E support on multiple C5ISR integration efforts and ongoing Electrical System Upgrades activities related to the sustainment of the DoD Platforms.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the day-to-day management of test activities at major test site(s) (e.g. DoD, private, and Contractor).
Work in a collaborative environment with product managers, logistics, contracting, along with multiple external Government organizations to include Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) and Marine Corps Operational Test and Evaluation Activity (MCOTEA), the User Representative, and other Product Offices along with the defense industry.
Assist Systems Engineering leads in translating requirements documents into a quantifiable, measurable evaluation framework that establishes the foundation for all test planning. Synthesizes these requirements against the appropriate Concepts of Employment, Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) and Mission Profiles.
Determine data requirements essential to assessing the evaluation criteria, (to include Critical Technical Parameters, Software Maturity Levels, Key Performance Parameters and Key Systems Attributes).
Identify and develop the T&E infrastructure requirements (i.e. people, knowledge, funding, processes, facilities and ranges) that will assure Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) success for the Program.
Assist in developing and documenting the program's T&E strategy that integrates policy, program requirements, and cost resource estimates with the evaluation framework.
Travel occasionally (up to 25%) to the test sites in support of related meetings and test events.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering plus 4 years of experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Knowledge and experience with SE Process.
Problem solving skill with emphasis on analysis, COA development, and decision presentation.
Ability to apply T&E best practices.
Ability in developing and reporting programmatic status (Cost, Schedule, Performance of T&E Programs).
Project and resource management experience.
Experience with DoD vehicle platforms.
Experience working with DoD Program Managers, or Program Executive Offices within the Army Materiel Command.
Experience with U.S. DoD communications equipment.
Knowledge of the PEO/PM structure and organizations.
