is responsible for maintaining production stamping tooling in a timely and efficient manner and developing prototype/production stamping dies.
- In the Tool Service department the Toolmaker will be responsible for developing gages and fixtures in a timely manner and tracking all detail components through the tool room.
- The Toolmaker must maintain the tooling dies from blueprints, after released to production, sharpens, inspects, and resets tooling as needed in Business Unit Transmission Technologies in Schaeffler Group North America at the Wooster, Ohio facility.
Formal prerequisites for the position:
Blue print reading
Detail oriented and quality conscientious
Problem solving skills, ability to analyze strips to make die improvements
Metal forming knowledge
Basic Computer skills to record die history
Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
Ability to prioritize and make decisions
Toolmaker Journeyman or 5 years’ experience in a metal environment
