Responsibilities

Works collaboratively with members of the Trauma Program to monitor the process and outcomes of patient care to trauma patients throughout the continuum. Through care monitoring and tracking they can ensure timely and quality care is being provided, use the information to improve the knowledge and skill of trauma care providers, and promote performance improvement and patient safety within an established institution structure. Works collaboratively with the Trauma program Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager to ensure maintenance of requirements established by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF). Maintains knowledge of standards required by various regulatory agencies and within the field of trauma and nursing. Able to maintain a comprehensive approach to data collection, analysis, and reporting.



Qualifications

Education Requirements: 2 year / Associate Degree (Required) Other Education: quality management (Preferred) Certification and Licensure Requirements *PA Registered Nurse License (Required) completion of ATCN/TNCC (Preferred) completion of trauma nurse course (Preferred) Specialty certification (CCRN/CEN) (Preferred) Experience and Skills *4-5 Years Nursing experience (Required) 1-3 Years Able to provide education either formally or informally (Preferred) 1-3 Years critical care experience preferred (Preferred) 1-3 Years Has an understanding of the Quality Improvement process and patient safety programs; maintains knowledge of standards required by various regulatory agencies (Preferred) Required Skills: Excellent Communications Skills, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word
