Job description
In support of the Logistics Manager, Vista the Warehouse Associate I is responsible for picking products and verifying against orders to ensure accuracy and packing products efficiently and prioritizing orders effectively.  The position must navigate the warehouse safely, understand the labeling system and utilize the RF scanner gun to identify product inventory (location, part number and quantity).

The Warehouse  Associate maintains a clean warehouse environment, follows all safety protocols, maintains equipment used for the job, and may assist with other duties in the warehouse.

This is not a telecommuting position.

Your Responsibilities:
    • Takes completed sales orders to packing stations or takes completed work orders to production area.
    • Prioritizes rush orders and notifies packers or production personnel of rush status.
    • Keeps bin locations neat at all times. Packs customer orders through the AIMS system using scanner and computer at assigned packing station.
  • Process outbound shipments, including arrangement of transportation services.
    • Make sure proper part number and quantity are packed into shipping cartons according to warehouse procedure guidelines.
    • Packs orders according to priority and advises the manifest operator of rush orders.
    • Ensures that all company products are packed in a manner that protects contents from damage during transit.
  • Assist with labeling and relabeling projects as needed.
  • Effectively manage time and resources to control costs, enhance efficiencies, and meet commitments.
  • Follows all company safety regulations and immediately notifies any warehouse supervisor or the warehouse manager of any safety related issues that are discovered.
  • Notifies supervisor or lead of any inventory discrepancies or other inventory issues such as shortages, damaged or dirty products.
  • Participates in daily cycle counts, and annual physical inventory process.
  • Responsible for general warehouse cleanliness and may be assigned a designated area, equipment, and tools to maintain at warehouse standards as set forth by supervisor or the warehouse manager.

Your Qualifications:
 
  • Experience with RF Scanner Gun, a plus.
  • Experience in a high pace, deadline driven environment.  
  • Aptitude for learning new technology.
  • Warehouse environment, which includes exposure to seasonal temperature changes.
  • This position requires the ability to constantly move about the building to complete assigned projects.
  • This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information. 
  • The employee is required to have visual acuity to perform necessary activities safely.
