Intrado is looking for a Web Support Technician to join our team. This role will be responsible for a variety of technical customer support duties related to Company products and services in a timely and accurate manner; provide a single point of contact for customers needing problem resolution for a variety of product issues ensuring resolution and documentation of issues are resolved in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner; resolve “live” and general client issues and technical problems, over the phone or email, escalating those issues outside of employee’s control to supervisor; handle all communications with a sense of urgency and professionalism ensuring customer satisfaction on each account; impart basic web knowledge to clients for educational purposes and in support of Internet-based products
Applicants for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional education may be required based on individual projects and/or location
Minimum one year customer service or help desk experience required, preferably in a global multi-location company
Minimum one year experience using Windows based platforms and configuring Internet browsers and other internet technology required
Minimum one year of Windows/WinNT environments, Web Browsers (e.g., Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.), firewalls and proxy servers, TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting and VoIP preferred.
Basic Knowledge of MS Word, and Excel required
Knowledge of computer keyboard and mouse
Based on Project and/or Location of Project the following may be required.
Demonstrated fluency in English and/or other specified language (e.g., Spanish, French, etc.) depending on the position
Ability to pass standardized interview
Score acceptably on job related testing assessments
Ability to work flexible schedules
Ability to clearly communicate using a clear, distinct voice
Ability to read scripted presentations verbatim or paraphrasing and customizing the presentations in order to meet client requirements and bring customer issue to resolution
