Job description
Ideal candidate for this direct hire position will have:  
  • Five years of management experience in a warehouse 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, (experience with Epicor or Latitude software, is a plus)
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement highly preferred
Duties include:
  • Executing the schedule of all warehouse operations including production planning, procurement, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, inventory management & control and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient & timely manner.
  •  Assure that customer orders are completed timely and within prescribed cost levels.
  • Work with Production Department to develop smooth flow of goods into and out of the warehouse.
  • Monitor the production areas and actual-to-plan volumes to ensure it continues to meet requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory through counts and reconciliation with system records.
  •  Assist in the development of and direct, programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective warehouse operations and utilization of the facility.
  • Develop a continuous improvement plan to meet prescribed cost and services standards. (Be proactive).
  • Collaborates with other departments to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
  • Work with Operations Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse.
  • Supervise a team of 8 - 12 warehouse staff (including temporary/contract employees).
  • Direct the focus of the warehouse personnel to achieve prescribed objectives.
  • Interview, hire and develop a cohesive warehouse team.
  • Work with Operations Manager to plan long range labor needs based on customer forecasts and input from management.
  • Develop, implement and direct programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property to ensure compliance with health & safety legislation. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
  • Ensure adequate supply levels are maintained, equipment is regularly inspected and preventative maintenance performed.
  • Create and manage housekeeping program in all warehouse and production areas
